Facebook and TechCrunch had a contentious relationship during our feistier years that culminated with them deploying a feature called Facebook Fax — to TechCrunch employees only. As the name implied, Facebook Fax let you send a photo to any fax machine; it actually worked, but we were the only ones who could use it. I subsequently made my debut in The San Francisco Chronicle as the reporter who covered a feature that “Doesn’t Exactly Exist”.
